Spring has been slow building here in the last week of April/first week of May. Unfavorable winds and rainy weather systems have put a damper on things. However, as they do, of course birds are still doing their thing and moving with or without the assistance of the weather and in some cases the rain may have caused a few to put down at Garret Mountain. I also took my first trips of the Spring to Belleplain State Forest and Baldpate Mountain to check in on the local breeding warblers. Below is a collection of what has been around so far. Weather looks to improve this Sun/Monday when a huge wave should come through.
